 Current Classwork:

English 1 and 3: English 1 will finish off the year reading an enriched SAT novel entitled, S.C.A.M.  English 3 will begin reading The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer.

Both classes will be writing their research paper based off themes from each book. Students will have their choice of  choosing one theme from the provided list derived from each book. We will be using our library resources as well as internet resources through the Chester County Library System online.

English 6:  We are  working on our year-long autobiography portfolio assignment. This assignment is designed to help students discover themselves through writing.  Students must complete a total of 27 autobiographical assignments ranging in length and varying in content. At the end of the year each student will have a well developed writing portfolio.

The class will begin reading Catching Fire by Susane Collins, which is the 2nd book in the Hunger Games trilogy. I am creating a student workbook designed to focus on character analysis and development, in depth-vocabulary, and multi-genre writing assignments based on the book.
