Tuition

TCS’ tuition is $35,000.00 for the 2022-2023 school year, with an increase of $1,500.00 ($36,500.00) for the 2023-2024 school year. That amount is very reasonable compared to other schools that serve similar students. Many of our students are able to attend TCS as a result of an agreement with their home school districts. Families often use advocates or law offices to assist them with this process.

Starting with the 2023-2024 school year, The Concept School Board of Directors announced the creation of the Dr. Carol Tucker Scholarship Program.  

Dr. Carol Tucker Memorial Scholarship

Criteria for Eligibility

Student must meet the mission of TCS.
Student must be entering TCS at 9th grade or above.
Student’s Family must meet the EITC Income Guidelines for scholarship stated below:
Adjusted gross income of less than $96,676, with an additional $17,017 adjustment for each
dependent
Student must apply to TCS and provide all requested documentation by March 1st of the previous school
year and be admitted to the school.
The Tucker Scholarship application [link] must be completed in its entirety and submitted to the Head of
School by April 20th of the previous school year.
A current TCS student can be considered if they meet all of the eligibility requirements above and:
They are maintaining a C or above grade average
They are maintaining Satisfactory or Above Citizenship
They are maintaining 90% or better attendance/lateness

Term of Scholarship

A student can receive the scholarship for up to four years if they continue to meet all of the grade,
citizenship and attendance eligibility requirements outlined above. Families of the student will be
required to submit their financial information each year by April 20th for Scholarship Committee review.

Scholarship Coverage

The Tucker Scholarship will cover full tuition and the current Registration Fee. School application fee,
fees for class trips and incidentals are not covered.
Families of the Dr. Carol Tucker Scholarship recipient will be expected to provide at least 40 hours of
volunteer service to The Concept School each year, as requested by the Head of School.
