One of the newest additions to our staff, math teacher Steven Burtch, has extensive international business and travel experience. He has lived in three countries (Canada, Singapore and the US), visited all 50 US states, all 10 Canadian provinces and all eight Australian states and territories. In addition he has visited and/or worked in 40 countries on six continents with multiple visits to Australia, Azerbaijan, Brazil, China, France, India, Japan, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia, Switzerland, Thailand and the UK.

With a B.S. and MS degree in geology, experience as a graduate research assistant in Geophysics, an MBA and a recent MS in Education from Drexel, Mr. Burtch has had a long and diverse career in the energy industry, including oil, natural gas and electricity. His roles have ranged from technical studies and major project evaluations to finance, planning and strategy, to executive leadership in general management and business development. His resume includes work at Shell, Amoco, PECO, Unocal, and AltaLink, along with accountability for all aspects of the business performance of DuPont Safety Resources (Asia Pacific region) and DuPont Clean Technologies.

Mr. Burtch is loving his work with our TCS students and is bringing all of his world experience to bear in his teaching.
